New year, same old you?
The problem with all these New Year resolutions is that, well, it’s easy to know you need to change something, but not so easy to know where to start. If one of your promises to self this year is to shake up your personal style a bit (or if you’re anything like me, just find it) I have just the thing for you.
A few months back I had a brilliant session with top personal stylist Alice Barnes who happens to be based in Tring. Alice has got a hugely impressive background in psychology and sales, and now works for herself and at Champneys offering style advice, personal shopping, the lot. She helped me figure out not only what colours suited me best but also which shapes and styles. Goodbye, favourite brown cardigan – hello, bright red coat and more compliments than I can shake a stick at!
Using my considerable powers of persuasion, I’ve managed to get Alice to agree to share the love. She’s offering – get this – a completely free one-to-one session to Muddy Herts readers this January worth £75 each!
If you’re stuck in a style rut, or have a wardrobe that’s mostly one colour (probably black if you’re anything like me), or have been doing the same make-up routine for the last however-many years, this is a perfect chance to get some great tips about how to kick start you making better colour choices for your clothes, your jewellery and your make-up.
Your free session will start with Alice showing you whether you should be looking for ‘cool’ or ‘warm’ colours to make you look you’re best (turns out I’m cool, which was not what I was expecting at all). She’ll then focus on choosing the right accessories with that in mind – are you a gold or a silver? – and then top it off with some easy-to-follow tips to bring your make-up routine up to date as well.
Just sign up (if you haven’t already!) and I’ll pass your details on to Alice.
Sessions are 30 minutes and take place at ABC Image’s home studio in Tring. There’s no obligation to purchase any more services. Offer ends 31 Jan 2015, and you must take your session before 28 Feb 2015. In order to take advantage of this offer, you need to be subscribed (tis free!) to the Muddy Herts blog.
