Signal Studio and Little Flea

When Signal Studio offered to help Little Flea with the Spring 2018 issue, it made for a happy and helpful collaboration.

Muddy Stilettos is here to celebrate all things local and there’s nothing we love more than when two business owners find each other, hit it off, and collaborate on a project. When Keith Wilson, owner of Signal Studio, met Anna Cascarina, the person behind online magazine Little Flea, the planets aligned. Keith already knew Little Flea and he offered to design the Spring 2018 issue for Anna. Signal Studio and Little Flea are both based in Letchworth which made for an easy collaboration.

‘I thought I could give the magazine more cohesion and make it look more interesting, professional-looking, and easier to read,’ Keith says.

Anna was happy to give Signal Studio free rein. ‘Keith is brilliant. He knew that I was struggling with the design. He offered to give the pages more structure and to create an easy-to-use grid structure.’

‘With every previous issue, there have always been tears and tantrums and late nights,’ says Anna. ‘But working with Keith, the Spring issue was actually finished before the deadline. It was the first time this has happened!’

‘Anna’s now got an editorial design template that she can use for future issues,’ says Keith, who works with businesses of all sizes to create brands and websites that encourage salience, trust and respect. He is a natural problem solver and incredibly practical. He also has great experience of how to make brand identities work hard, and a natural affinity with digital platforms.

Little Flea now looks and feels much cleaner and clearer,’ says Anna. ‘Keith has brilliant ideas but he’s also a great listener.’

Signal Studio is in the Muddy Herts Little Black Book.
