Muddy says: this vibrant and always changing lifestyle store in Baldock is great for gifts and vinyl, but it’s also a destination for interior design.
Staffy B is a great find and a shop I came across when it was a finalist in the Muddy Awards in the category for Best Gift Shop. It’s actually more than a gift shop, and that’s partly down to the owners, Hayley and Toni, who come from the world of fashion, and now offer an interior design service, including mood boards and furniture reupholstery. Be warned. This shop is so inspiring, you might go in for a birthday card and come out with a bright pink velvet cocktail chair. Staffy B also does a nice line in jazz vinyl and record players. If you don’t know Baldock, it’s worth a trip to visit this delightful shop. Staffy B is the only location outside of London where you will find Ian Mankin fabrics. They are also a stockist for Farrow & Ball paint. The interior alone will inspire you: currently painted dark blue. Toni and Hayley are friendly and extremely knowledgeable and they’re also a big part of the local community. The name and shop were inspired by their much missed and much loved dog, Freddie, who I had the pleasure of meeting. Staffy B has a vibrancy that fizzes and sparks and brings a whoosh of class and good design to the middle of Baldock’s High Street.
