Wellbeing and Therapy Matters

We can all get stuck in ways of thinking and looking at things that no longer work for us. Sometimes this can lead to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, overeating or addictions. Therapy can be very helpful in understanding what is happening and finding a way forward, it can also be helpful at certain points in our lives when things change, when we loose people we love, we become parents, we retire or generally feel we are lacking direction in our lives.

Therapy can be very helpful in understanding what is happening and finding a way forward, it can also be helpful at certain points in our lives when things change, when we lose people we love, we become parents, we retire or generally feel we are lacking direction in our lives.

I have worked as a Psychologist for nearly 15 years in the NHS and in private practice. I work on a short to medium term basis, often working towards goals that are important to you. I work in Hitchin, North London & I also offer telephone counselling.  I am a fully qualified Chartered Counselling Psychologist, and I use several models of therapy including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) & Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) which can be very helpful for several issues including trauma.   I also use mindfulness and compassionate focused techniques in my work.  I am registered with the Health & Care Professions as a Practitioner Psychologist and I am a CBT Therapist accredited by the British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies.  My work in the NHS has involved working with clients but also supervising colleagues and helping to manage a service.
