Hooray for World Gin Day! Today, gin can mean secret supper clubs, stills with names, crowdfunded businesses, and storytelling under the stars drinking gin in beakers. What would Hogarth say?
Who knows. Yet all around the world today, gin lovers will be celebrating the joy of botanicals. In Hertfordshire, or more precisely Tring, Campfire Gin by Puddingstone Distillery is no doubt celebrating the fact that as a fledgling business (crowdfunded and launched last year) it is the gin on everyone’s lips, and sometimes quite literally.
Kate and Ben Marston are a couple of adventurous spirits who have travelled and infused their brand with a love of the outdoors and cosying up under the stars with blankets and beakers of gin. Their events sell out, and you need to be quick, although you might like to put The Tring Carnival in your diary for later this month.

4 parts pink grapefruit juice
Mix Campfire Gin with pink grapefruit juice and pour over ice.
Add fresh grapefruit garnish.
