Muddy says: One of my favourite places in Hertfordshire is the former home of Henry Moore. A morning or afternoon spent in the gardens walking in and out of magnificent bronzes is a tonic. Better still, make a day of it: be inspired by Moore's studio; have a potter in a barn full of tapestries, and have lunch in the uplifting café.
Muddy says: The Old Town Hall in Hemel is a buzzing arts space with music, comedy and drama that delights and surprises. The building itself could tell a few tales: Eddie Izzard, Steve Coogan, Paul Merton and Jack Dee have all performed here.
This small community theatre aims to excite young people about the arts. Its programme of events is also pretty exciting for grown ups.
Muddy says: The glamour! An Art Deco cinema beautifully restored to its full and former glory, and a brand new 21st Century Theatre now living inside this iconic Letchworth landmark. Broadway Cinema and Theatre, we are so lucky to have you!
Muddy says: I absolutely love this Letchworth gallery. The space itself is uplifting: light and bright, the exhibitions continue to be different and interesting, and of course I have to mention the café for coffee, cake or a glass of wine. I love Broadway Gallery!
