Muddy says: Not only is this historic property the home of afternoon tea (need we say more?), there's loads to see and do here too, from exploring the hidden treasures inside the house to the extensive grounds outside.
Muddy says: With a beautiful Edwardian auditorium and a diverse and frequently changing programme of theatrical events, the Watford Palace is a creative community hub.
Muddy says: Dance, mindfulness, ArtsLive ballet and opera screenings and a wonderfully diverse programme of live music. Berkhamsted Arts Centre has it all!
Muddy says: Terrified by the sight of a blank canvas? Itching to get your hands moving with a piece of charcoal? Did you love drawing and painting at school but haven't lifted a brush for years? ColourWheel is guaranteed to unlock your creativity!
Muddy says: One of my favourite places in Hertfordshire is the former home of Henry Moore. A morning or afternoon spent in the gardens walking in and out of magnificent bronzes is a tonic. Better still, make a day of it: be inspired by Moore's studio; have a potter in a barn full of tapestries, and have lunch in the uplifting café.
Muddy says: The Old Town Hall in Hemel is a buzzing arts space with music, comedy and drama that delights and surprises. The building itself could tell a few tales: Eddie Izzard, Steve Coogan, Paul Merton and Jack Dee have all performed here.
This small community theatre aims to excite young people about the arts. Its programme of events is also pretty exciting for grown ups.
Muddy says: The glamour! An Art Deco cinema beautifully restored to its full and former glory, and a brand new 21st Century Theatre now living inside this iconic Letchworth landmark. Broadway Cinema and Theatre, we are so lucky to have you!
Muddy says: I absolutely love this Letchworth gallery. The space itself is uplifting: light and bright, the exhibitions continue to be different and interesting, and of course I have to mention the café for coffee, cake or a glass of wine. I love Broadway Gallery!
