Cooking and Carafes
Give your dinner some gusto with the Italian-inspired cookalongs, pasta making classes and recipes from Herts-based foodie biz, Cooking and Carafes
Founded by Kate Ailey, Herts-based Italophile, pasta maker and wine drinker (the Holy Trinity, no?!) Cooking and Carafes started life as a foodie blog. But now it’s far more than that, offering eveything from pasta making workshops and cookalongs to recipes and even a shop!
Kate creates all of her own recipes and is passionate about reducing food waste and helping people to grow in confidence with cooking from scratch. She uses ingredients from her favourite Italian brands as well as fresh, home-grown ones (she’s pretty green-fingered too!).
Need a bit of help in the culinary department? Check out Kate’s Cookalongs, where you can learn how to make a classic Italian dish over Zoom in the comfort of your own home. She can even help you adapt your recipe to suit your tastes and dietary requirements.
Or if you’re feeling a bit more ambitious, learn the art of pasta making (it can be quite mindful, so we hear!) by booking on to one of Kate’s workshops, which take place at various locations across Herts and London. They’re super fun and relaxed, and you’ll even be able to enjoy your handmade dishes over a glass of wine, supper club-style, afterwards. Now you’re talking!
And if that wasn’t enough, check out the carefully curated selection of eco-friendly, foodie and local artisan wares, from grow-your-own seed sets to handmade ceramics at the Cooking and Carafes shop. Viva Italia!
