With an excellent foodie offering and a Chefs Table, this modern, relaxed restaurant in Tring is changing the game when it comes to fine dining
Crockers Tring is reflective of the buzzy high street on which it sits, and offers up top-notch fine dining without any stuffiness or pomposity you might expect from such a high-end establishment. Head chef Scott Barnard – who came second on Masterchef: The Professionals 2015 – takes great pleasure in interacting with his guests and if you book the chef’s table (that seats 15) you can be immersed in all the drama of the kitchen while being served gorgeous, seasonal dishes that come with a different wine flight every month. Booking is available three months in advance.
As for the rest of the restaurant, the newly expanded Dining Room doesn’t always need to be booked in advance and there is a standard and a la carte menu on offer there, along with a vegan menu if required. And if you fancy a nightcap – or indeed you’re just after a cocktail or two – there is a cellar bar, but you will need to ask a member of staff to be shown the secret door.
And if you want to take the experience home, both ‘finish at home’ and premixed cocktails are available to buy online.
