The White Hart, Ampthill
Fancy a weekend break in a traditional market town? Book in to the White Hart for fabulous food, cosy accommodation and all the attractions of Bedfordshire on your doorstep.
Stroll along Ampthill’s historic High St to discover the elegant building that is the White Hart Pub, Restaurant & Hotel. This Queen Anne style façade gives way to a pared back, almost industrial chic interior – lots of copper and metal finishes, offset with slightly shabby chic furniture and characterful accessories. The effect is warm, not stark. The bar is super elegant, with its unusually high ceilings, but also relaxed, while the dining areas offer differing levels of formality – from plush opulence, to pared back simple chic.
Dining and bar offerings are excellent, with a Mediterranean-inspired menu is from 8am, with dishes ranging from dry aged ribeye cooked over charcoal in our Josper oven to local ale battered cod and chips.
And you be pleased to hear (if you’re planning on making a night of it) that one of the most characterful aspects of the establishment is the bedrooms, with their cosseting dark beams and atmospheric colour schemes. If you’re after a boutique small hotel in a characterful market town, just stone’s throw from stomp-worth rolling fields, then the White Hart might well be worth a look.
