Muddy says: Standalone Farm in Letchworth won Best Family Attraction in the Muddy Awards 2018. Well deserved!
Muddy says: A delightful day out for all the family. It can be filled with adventure and dinosaurs, but for lovers of old houses and formal gardens, Knebworth House also has beauty and serenity.
Muddy says: One of my favourite places in Hertfordshire is the former home of Henry Moore. A morning or afternoon spent in the gardens walking in and out of magnificent bronzes is a tonic. Better still, make a day of it: be inspired by Moore's studio; have a potter in a barn full of tapestries, and have lunch in the uplifting café.
This small community theatre aims to excite young people about the arts. Its programme of events is also pretty exciting for grown ups.
Muddy says: The glamour! An Art Deco cinema beautifully restored to its full and former glory, and a brand new 21st Century Theatre now living inside this iconic Letchworth landmark. Broadway Cinema and Theatre, we are so lucky to have you!
Muddy says: this stylish, colourful jewellery is also chewable! It has to be seen - and worn - to be believed.
Muddy says: This hidden gem won Best Café in the Muddy Awards 2017. It's family and also dog friendly, cosy inside and Mediterranean (on a good day) outside.
Muddy says: All In One Season is a completely delightful and fully immersive floral and lifestyle experience. Alice is the creative genius behind All In One Season, and she will transform your wedding or any other celebration with her unique Dutch style. You can also learn from her: she is a gifted teacher who runs wonderful workshops in the magical courtyard of her Arts and Crafts home in Letchworth. I'll keep you posted about the Dutch Winter House in December. It's unmissable.
Muddy says: Sharon Cooper is a hugely talented and much loved photographer based in Hitchin. She has a generous spirit, which I think comes across in her photography, and she also does a lot to support independent businesses in Herts. Read the comments below from some of her delighted clients - well deserved!
