Property Flirt: 62 The Drive, Rickmansworth

There are some fairly fab houses on The Drive in Rickmansworth, and this one is a proper doozie.  It’s had some serious reconstruction work done to extend out, up and down — it’s gone from 2 floors to 4, and there’s loads to drool over.  C’mon in…

It’s all open space and glass when you come in through the front door — and everything’s been done up beautifully.

On the ground floor, there’s an impressive drawing room, with full length sliding windows out to the terrace.  There’s also a formal dining room — come dine with me, anyone? — which links through to the kitchen.

If you love to cook, then this kitchen is going to blow your oven gloves right off.  Bespoke high-gloss units, two double ovens, a Domino hob, as well as a wine fridge and a coffee machine — and more.  There’s an island with a Quooker tap and a solid walnut breakfast bar — or you could scoff your wheaties from the bench seats overlooking the landscaped garden.

And last but not least, there’s a study — complete with full height windows looking out over the great big driveway.  Just think: you can sit there deciding who to admit and when to release the hounds.

Head downstairs to the lower ground floor and you’ll find yourself in the games room, complete with its own well-equipped (but not stocked — that’s up to you!) bar.  Then there’s a cinema — yup, a cinema — which is all wired and ready to go with whatever system you choose.  (Seriously, my eldest would never come out into the light again.)  There’s a leisure suite down there, too — gym, hot tub, steam room, shower, the lot.

Head upstairs, and there are 4 bedrooms — one with a full ensuite bathroom (with one of those lush walk-in rainwater showers) and a dressing room, one with an en suite wet room, and the other 2 with en suite shower rooms.

Keep going up and the converted loft is home to two more bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a play room that you could, if you wanted, use as a seventh bedroom.  In fact, you could probably just lose your kids up there and only see them when they needed refuelling.

So, what do you reckon it’ll set you back?  Really?  Find out how close you are right here….
