MUSICAL: The Sound of Music, Milton Keynes Theatre, 17 – 21 Mar
The hills are alive – yup, you guessed it, The Sound of Music is coming to our ‘hood this week. Expect all the classic songs, with Emilie Fleming (BBC’s Over the Rainbow) and Andrew Lancel (Coronation Street) starring as Maria and Captain von Trapp.
THEATRE: The Mousetrap, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, 16 – 21 Mar
At AWT there’s whodunnit classic, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, which is the longest running show in the history of theatre, so they must be doing something right.
KIDS: Rumplestiltskin and the Snail of Destiny, The Old Town Hall, Hemel Hempstead, 21 March
This creative update on the Grimm’s classic by Widdershins theatre brings the eccentric dwarf and friends to life through puppetry, music and dynamic sets, that have little ones totally hooked.
CHARITY: Dogs and Daffs Walk, Hatfield House, 22 March
Come and support Riding for the Disabled at this annual charity walk in the gloriously spring-like grounds of Hatfield House. There’ll be a special route for you and your pooch as well as doggy events throughout the day, from the Slumbering Hound Dog Scurry to Flyball and Dog Agility as well as the Fun Dog Show where you can enter your pup in catergories like Waggiest Tail and Best Young Handler.
