This weekend
Fri 13 - Sun 15 Ma
OPERA: Don Giovanni, The Stables, Milton Keynes, 13 Mar
Coming to MK this week is a touring production of Don Giovanni, a supernatural comedy-thriller opera that takes place in real time (yup, really). It’s all sung in English, so no subtitles needed.
COMEDY: David Baddiel, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, 13 Mar
David Baddiel is back on the circuit following his five-star Olivier-nominated hit My Family: Not The Sitcom with Trolls: Not The Dolls. The new show takes a look at internet trolls and promises to give the audience tips’n’tricks on how to deal with them.
COMEDY: Ladykiller, The Old Town Hall, Hemel Hempstead, 14 March
It sounds like a scene from Fawlty Towers… A hotel room, a chambermaid and a dead woman. This Edinburgh Fringe and Vault Festival sell-out show takes a graphic and gruesome comic dive into morality and victimhood and challenges gender stereotypes of psycopathy. It’s got us intrigued!

Any fellow opera fans out there? I grew up going to the WNO with my dad in Cardiff, so – call me biased! – I’m really looking forward to the arrival of the Welsh National Opera in MK next month, so much so I’ve already snaffled my tickets. On the bill this time is Carmen, The Marriage of Figaro and Les Vepres Siciliennes.
