It’s the ninth year that Childwickbury Arts has held its Christmas market in the stable block. It’s a unique venue: beautifully restored 19th century horse-stalls and tack rooms. There’ll be everything from stained glass, jewellery and pottery to hats, tableware and fine art. Christine Kubrick will be exhibiting her own artwork. Loads of yummy food, including the Pudding Stop’s Pudmobile! Free admission, free parking. Fantastic!
Save the date for Tenors Unlimited! This is unmissable, I promise you. Scott Ciscon, Paul Martin and Jem Sharples. They’ll take you from Nessun Dorma to Sting’s Fragile and you might have Moon River in between. These men have sung with Beyoncé, Sting, Lionel Ritchie, Simply Red and many more. Christmas comes to Harpenden, Sun 26 Nov
Harpenden is already looking stunning with all its Christmas decorations. Once the lights are on, it’ll be a veritable winter wonderland. On Sunday there are all kinds of delights planned, including a visit from Father Christmas and his elves. And music from the Rock Choir. Free parking at Harpenden station. The carnival and market are on all day in the high street, and the lights will go on as darkness falls.
