Oh, the Oscars.  The outfits.  The glamour.  The red carpet.  The speeches.  The tears.  The controversy.  Oh yeah, and the films…

Some local Herts links on the night, too.

Bishop’s Stortford’s finest, Sam Smith, scooped Best Original Song for ‘The Writing’s on the Wall,’ which he apparently knocked up in no time at all for the most recent Bond film (oh, Mr Craig…  *swoon*).

And Leo wasn’t the only one getting his first hold of the gold.  Stevenage producer Shan Christopher Ogilvie is busy hugging the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.  ‘Stutterer,’ 2-minute-long drama, tells the story – in award-winning style! – of a lonely chap trying to get over his speech impediment and find love.  Great local news!
