Wouldn’t You Though?
I’m a huge fan of paper cut art: there’s something impossibly gorgeous about the intricate designs and, as someone who has trouble every year cutting out paper snowflakes with the kids at Christmas, I’m in awe of people who manage to create something so beautiful out of just paper. That’s why I love Sarah Brooks’ take on the whole thing: silver pendants that transform the beauty of paper cut art into something lasting and very wearable. Aren’t they beautiful?
Brooks is based in Hertfordshire and hand-makes everything personally in sterling silver, sometimes plated in fine gold and often combined with precious and semi precious gemstones.
I’m definitely buying the birds on a branch (above, £60-70), I’ve already bought the tea cup pendant below…
… and now I’m also very tempted by her sterling silver house necklaces *sigh*. I think you might call this an obsession!
But I think her designs have quirky warmth that’s really winning. Anyway, check her out online here or via her Folksy shop and buy up a gift for a friend, or (need I say it) yourself!
