Wouldn’t You Though?
Once the sun’s properly out, there’s really only one place to eat – and that’s outdoors. And if you’re going to be eating outdoors, you want fab cups to drink from, right?
I came across these delicious melamine cups at The Oak Room in Hertford, and I reckon they’d do a turn for a picnic or barbeque in the garden.
They’re definitely a bit different to your usual spots or stripes, which has got to be a good thing. And you can also liven up things even more with even more tropical birds, this time perched atop cocktail sticks. Perfect for your mini sausages — or your cheese cubes and pineapple chunks.
I love how lush they are – detailed, bright, unusual. They sort of remind me of Victorian wallpaper, but in a good, a very good, way.
And melamine (bear with me here…) is uber-practical for all that al fresco dining. Yes, I’d love a wicker hamper with neatly-arranged china plates, champagne flutes and silver cutlery, but… We’ve got a cool bag and everything gets chucked in together, know what I mean?
So, I’ll be picnicking in style this summer. Even with my cool bag. Cheers!
