Hot goss: John Lydon returns plus local foodie and festival news
The punk legend and former Sex Pistols frontman will headline Stone Valley Festival at Hillside Farm this spring plus Pub in The Park and foodie news.

Missed out on Glastonbury? Fear not! Former Sex Pistols frontman, John Lydon, is bringing Public Image Limited to Hillside Farm in Ware, this May. The band is headlining the opening night of the three-day Stone Valley Festival on Friday, May 23 as part of their This is Not The Last Tour. Early bird tickets are already sold out but there is still time to nab yourself a camping or day ticket.
Lydon’s appearance comes after he thought the band might not tour again after the death of his wife Nora and lifelong friend and manager, John Rambo Stevens in 2023.
However, after being overwhelmed by the love and support of fans, he’s back and joining a line-up at Hillside Farm that includes Dutty Moonshine Big Band, Death of Guitar Pop and Ferocious Dog – plus two more headliners to be announced.

Pub in the Park is returning to Verulamium Park, St Albans from 5 – 7 September 2025. A celebration of music, drink and food, the event is to be hosted once again by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge. As well as gourmet offerings, the musical line-up is also quite tasty with Dizzee Rascal, Judge Jules, and Ministry of Sound Classical all set to perform. For the first time, festival-goers will also be able to nab a ‘pit-pass’ and get even closer to the front stage action. Tickets are on sale now!
