<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-gets-you-out-of-bed-in-the-morning"><strong>What gets you out of bed in the morning? </strong></h2>



<p>First, my alarm clock, then the sheer excitement of opportunities that lie ahead and making progress towards my goals for that day. I always strive to make my friends and family proud and be an inspiration to them. Their support, in turn, gives me the strength and motivation to start my day positively. Additionally, I believe in the power of self-care and personal growth &#8211; dedicating time to nourishing my mind, body, and soul &#8211; which enables me to begin each day with renewed energy and enthusiasm. However, I&#8217;m also human, so sometimes it&#8217;s hard to embrace what I&#8217;ve just said, but I do my very best!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-are-you-awake-with-the-larks-or-roll-out-of-bed-clutching-the-duvet"><strong>Are you awake with the larks or roll out of bed clutching the duvet?</strong></h2>



<p>Oh goodness me, I&#8217;ve never been an early riser, no! But I&#8217;ve come to realise the amazing benefits of waking up early. So, even though I may not naturally be a morning person, I&#8217;ve developed a pretty strict bedtime routine to make sure I can seize the day with all the energy and enthusiasm I need.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-s-the-first-thing-you-do-on-waking">What&#8217;s the first thing you do on waking?</h2>



<p>Every morning, no matter where I am or what my schedule looks like, as soon as I wake up, I make sure I have a glass of celery juice. I allow about 20 minutes to fully absorb the incredible benefits before drinking a warm glass of lemon water. This starts me off feeling completely hydrated and refreshed. Then I focus on my morning movement and meditation. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-how-do-you-set-your-mood-for-the-day-ahead"><strong>How do you set your mood for the day ahead?</strong></h2>



<p>Meditation! Meditation! Meditation! It has become my saving grace. I find starting the day with a morning meditation and some yoga movement helps me to connect with my body and clear my mind to set me on the right path for the day and approach it with intention. It helps me to centre, and increase my overall wellbeing. This sense of calmness and clarity then trickles into the remainder of my day. Whether I&#8217;m rushing or running late, I make a point to pause and take three deep breaths before stepping out of the house.  It&#8217;s a GAME CHANGER and sets the tone for the day ahead.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-who-else-shares-your-morning-space"><strong>Who else shares your morning space?</strong></h2>



<p>In the mornings my house is bustling with activity. I live with my partner, my daughter and our dog, so there&#8217;s always a lot going on. However, I make it a priority to find a few moments of solitude. Occasionally, my daughter joins me for my morning yoga and meditation and it&#8217;s a wonderful opportunity for us to spend some quality time together.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-s-on-the-radio-tv-podcast"><strong>What’s on the radio/tv/podcast?</strong></h2>



<p>When I have the time, I occasionally indulge in listening to a morning podcast that focuses on anything wellbeing based. However, my top priority in the morning is my meditation practice.<strong> </strong></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-does-your-morning-beauty-routine-look-like"><strong>What does your morning beauty routine look like? </strong></h2>



<p>Oh I just envy the many glamorous women who invest in a multitude of beauty products and follow strict beauty routines and I must admit that I lack in that department. For me, a good face wash, serum, and cream are sufficient. I&#8217;m not overly concerned about specific brands, but I am extremely particular about using clean &#8211; non-toxic and chemical-free &#8211; beauty products. I feel strongly about the potentential harm that even simple makeup ingredients can cause to our overall body balance, from affecting our hormones to causing inflammation.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-how-do-you-choose-what-to-wear-grab-and-go-or-prep-your-outfit-the-night-before"><strong>How do you choose what to wear – grab and go or prep your outfit the night before?</strong></h2>



<p>I find myself in yoga clothes every day, without fail! Running Blend Organics and having limited time leaves me with little opportunity to pre-plan outfits. However, I am grateful for the convenience of quick and stylish yoga sets that allow me to effortlessly transition from my yoga practice to daily life.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-time-do-you-start-work"><strong>What time do you start work?</strong></h2>



<p>To ensure that Blend Organics opens promptly at 8am, I have my alarm set for 6am every morning. However, I must confess that with the demanding nature of running a business, there are occasions when the snooze button gets hit a few times! It&#8217;s a little indulgence I allow myself from time to time.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-if-you-could-wake-up-anywhere-in-the-world-real-or-imagined-where-would-it-be-and-why"><strong>If you could wake up anywhere in the world, real or imagined, where would it be and why?</strong></h2>



<p>That would be to wake up in a world that is fully focused on achieving peace. While it may sound clichéd, the idea of a world where conflicts are resolved through open dialogue, compassion, and understanding fills me with hope and inspiration. It can be disheartening to witness the turmoil and unrest that exists in our present reality. However, I am grateful for the practice of yoga, which has helped me find inner peace and balance amidst the chaos. I believe if everyone embraced the principles of yoga, which promote unity, mindfulness, and self-reflection, we would be one step closer to achieving global harmony. So, a world where yoga is embraced by all would be a dream come true.</p>
