<p>Sun’s out, the heating is on, and the water is lovely. Yes, it’s time to make a splash at your local Lido and luckily Herts &amp; Beds have their fair share. Here’s where to feel the open-air buzz of outdoor swimming this month.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-priory-lido-ware"><a href="https://www.warepriorylido.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Priory Lido</a>, Ware</h2>

<p>Open year-round, this outdoor pool is popular with cold-water swimmers during the winter and just about everyone else during the warmer months. There are hot showers, a teaching pool, and new changing rooms. (The lovely grassy area for sunbathing and picnics is currently closed off). With the heating back on, it’s going to get busy so best book ahead. Open now. 6am-7pm. £6.95</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-eversholt-pool-bedford"><a href="https://eversholtswimmingpool.com/pages/about-us" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Eversholt Pool</a>, Bedford</h2>



<p>Eversholt Pool, situated in the heart of Bedford, was once an informal watering hole enjoyed by both swimmers and frogs. No frogs here now &#8211; just beautiful water heated to 28˚C. Come for a swim and ice-cream then stroll to the village green and enjoy a picnic while watching Eversholt Cricket Club in action. Howzat for social and civilised. Open now. 7am-6.15pm. £6.50. </p>

<p>Woburn&#8217;s outdoor pool, just on the edge of the Woburn Abbey Estate, was given as a gift to the people of Woburn from the Duke of Bedford in 1911. And it’s been a popular summer attraction ever since. With the water heated to 26˚C, it’s the perfect place for a dip or &#8211; if you&#8217;re feeling really energetic &#8211; an aqua aerobics class. The large grassy area next to the pool is also a great spot for picnics and a natter with friends. Open now. 7.30am &#8211; 7.30pm. £7.50. </p>

<p>This impressive 50-metre outdoor pool is the perfect place for getting some serious laps in. There’s a fitness centre too, which has two indoor pools, just in case you’re not ready to take the al fresco plunge. Post swim you can head to the Splash Café, grab a coffee and sun yourself on the lovely terrace. Oh, happy days. 9am &#8211; 6pm. £8</p>

<p>This lengthy, heated pool is located on the edge of Norton Common and is the perfect place for a lane swim or Saturday afternoon splash around. Can&#8217;t be bothered with a dip? Hire a sun lounger and kick back with an ice-cream and good book. Pure bliss. 7am &#8211; 6.30pm. £8.</p>
