Have a go at pumpkin carving or painting plus other creepy Halloween crafts then take a tour of the Haunted Headmaster&#8217;s House. Why stop there? Meanwhile, in Ware there&#8217;s still life skull drawings, spooky mosaic decoration making and a whole range of cool, creative <a href="https://southernmaltings.co.uk/whats-on-in-ware/">Halloween workshops</a> going on at the Southern Maltings from 28 Oct &#8211; 1 Nov.&nbsp;Next door in Hertford make a paper pumpkin,&nbsp;weave a spooky spider’s web and create some marvellous monster friends at <a href="https://purchase.beamhertford.co.uk/EventAvailability?EventId=142201" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">BEAM</a> on Oct 30. Celtic Harmony in Brickendon is also hosting its annual&nbsp;<a href="https://celticharmony.org/product/october-days-out/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samhain Celebration</a>&nbsp;from Oct 27–31 with drumming workshops, Celtic storytelling, a haunted forest and more. <a href="https://hertfordshirezoo.com/events/dinos-after-dark-night-1/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hertfordshire Zoo</a> is running its popular Dinos After Dark event over Half Term, with late openings (5.30 &#8211; 8.30pm) on 24 &#8211; 26 Oct and 1 &#8211; 2 Nov. See the World of Dinosaurs lit up at night, plus there&#8217;ll be UV Halloween drummers, puppets, face painting, a silent disco, a glow store, and more. Meanwhile, over at ZSL Whipsnade there’s <a href="https://www.whipsnadezoo.org/plan-your-visit/events/boo-at-the-zoo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Boo at the Zoo</a> from 25 Oct &#8211; 2 Nov. Learn about the zoo residents who prefer the dark, take part in a Halloween costume party, catch a creepy magic show and try the Halloween railway trail. Prefer Halloween on the farm? If you&#8217;re feeling bold, brave the Haunted Forest after dark, it has spooky late sessions running from 5pm to 7pm. Silver screen hauntings more your thing? Enjoy frightening, family-friendly favourites at <a href="https://hatfield-house.co.uk/event/witches-wizards-week/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hatfield House </a>including Goosebumps (27 Oct), The Nightmare Before Christmas (28 Oct), and Bedknobs and Broomsticks (30 Oct). Broomsticks at the ready! <a href="https://knebworthhouse.com/Event/halloween-adventure/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Knebworth House</a> are holding their Halloween Adventure from 28 &#8211; 30 Oct. Hook a pumpkin, feed the hungry ghosts then enter your pumpkin into the best-carved pumpkin competition. Afterwards, fill up on Halloween treats in the tea room. Tickets include entrance to the park and dino trail but the house, park and adventure playground will be closed.
