Calling all young adventurers! Ahh. Cute newborn lambs are at Willows Activity Farm this half-term. <a href="https://www.willowsactivityfarm.com/events/february-frolics/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">February Frolics</a> is on all half term (Feb 14 &#8211; 22) with Tuck the Shepherd overseeing the new babies arriving on the farm, with live lambing, bottle feeding demos, plus fleecy arts &amp; crafts, a Mad Science show and all the usual Peter Rabbit-themed fun. Learn about a range of exotic species then get up close to some creepy and not-so-cute animals. Feb 16 &#8211; 20. Suitable for 3 years + . Over at the <a href="https://www.nhm.ac.uk/events/tring-cold-blooded-animals.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Natural History Museum in Tring</a>, you can delve into the fascinating world of cold-blooded animals and discover just how snakes, turtles, frogs and more cope during the cold months. There&#8217;ll also be a chance to touch the museum’s scaly specimens. For ages 5+. Free. Feb 17-19. Fancy flying an owl? Well, you can over at at <a href="https://birdsofpreycentre.co.uk/product/half-term-owl-encounter-february-16th-18th-10-00-1-00/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Herrings Green Activity Farm</a> (Feb 16 &amp; 18). Wannabe junior vet in the family? Good news! <a href="https://www.whipsnadezoo.org/plan-your-visit/events/vets-action-whipsnade-zoo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vets in Action</a> is back at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo this half term with a specially created zoo vet centre. Kids can don their lab coats and learn from the experts how to treat, diagnose and treat poorly animals, using soft toys. Feb 14 &#8211; 22.

The <a href="https://wyllyottstheatre.co.uk/whats-on/ministry-of-science-live-science-saved-the-world/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ministry of Science</a> (direct from London’s West End) is bringing explosive action to Wyllyotts Theatre, Potters Bar on Feb 19. Yup, there&#8217;ll be fire tornados, Hydrogen bottle rockets and massive liquid nitrogen clouds. And hold onto your seats! <a href="https://southmillarts.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873677481" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Utterly Revolting Science Show</a> is at South Mill Arts on Feb 20. Brace yourself for burp biology, fart physics and revolting edible chemistry. 



Over in Luton, the annual <a href="https://www.culturetrust.com/FebFest24" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Full House Feb Fest</a> will be full swing for half term (Feb 16 – 20), with creative workshops, performances and shows, plus a free ‘imagination station’ featuring drop-in craft activities. Highlights we&#8217;re marking in the diary are a Clay Play Workshop, Big Red Bath Bubble Disco and Tales that Dance. 



The ever-popular <a href="https://www.radlettcentre.co.uk/What-s-On/Children/Teddy-Bears-Picnic" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Teddy Bears’ Picnic </a>show is back at The Radlett Centre on Feb 23. Featuring songs, games, stories,&nbsp;and plenty of fun be sure to bring your teddy along for a chance to win a prize. Under 5s. 



And it&#8217;s <a href="https://hatfield-house.co.uk/event/february-film-week/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Februray Film Week</a> over at Hatfield Park (Feb 16-20) with a slew of family favourites showing at the Motor House. Enjoy a 45 min session with all materials supplied &#8211; paint, paint sprays, brushes and canvas. Let your little artist run wild. And pencils and pastels at the ready for the <a href="https://southernmaltings.co.uk/events/mini-beasts-drawing-workshop-age-8-february-half-term-workshops/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mini-Beasts Drawing Workshop</a> at Southern Maltings in Ware on Feb 17 (10am &#8211; 12pm). Ideal for young artists (8 years+), it&#8217;s the perfect way to get creative, build confidence and have fun. Want to make a day of it? Children can stay on for the <a href="https://southernmaltings.co.uk/events/british-birds-workshop-age-8-february-half-term-workshops-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">British Birds Sketching Workshop</a> in the afternoon (1pm &#8211; 3pm). Led by Robyn Wilson-Owen, a children&#8217;s author and illustrator, it&#8217;s on Feb 16, 10.30am and 1.30pm. 



And Full House Theatre in Ampthill run a creative programme of FREE activities for 11 &#8211; 17 year olds called <a href="https://fullhouse.org.uk/current-show/ampthill/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Get Amped</a>. On Feb 17 there&#8217;s a Lego Printmaking Workshop where you can create graphic prints while on 19 Feb enjoy a Fashion Futures Workshop and design, style and create your own tie-dye. Get hands-on with Over at South Mill Arts Little ones can make their own <a href="https://southmillarts.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873679996" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Spoon Superheroes</a> (17-19 Feb).
