Kate Mosse (that’s with an ‘e’) will be at BEAM Theatre as part of her <a href="https://purchase.beamhertford.co.uk/ChooseSeats/78601">Labyrinth Live</a> tour. She’ll be guiding audiences through the history and mystery of the Languedoc region and sharing the secrets behind her writing using music, imagery, and film. March 9.



Inspired by the life of Nina Simone,&nbsp;<a href="https://everyonetheatres.com/whats-on/black-is-the-color-of-my-voice-2/">Black Is the Colour of My Voice</a>&nbsp;follows a young girl’s journey from local church performances to renowned jazz vocalist at the forefront of the Civil Rights Movement. It’s at the Grove Theatre, Dunstable on March 18.



Conn Artists Theatre brings an adaptation of <a href="https://southmillarts.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873665956">Far From The Madding Crowd</a> to South Mills Arts, Bishop’s Stortford on March 19 at 7pm. And if you want to delve deeper into this classic Thomas Hardy text, then join the <a href="https://southmillarts.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873666390">theatre workshop </a>earlier in the day at 4pm (ages 14+).

Set to become a household name in stand-up we reckon, Matt Bragg has supported the likes of Ricky Gervais, John Bishop, Suzi Ruffell and Jason Manford. His debut show <a href="https://quarrytheatre.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873662448">Matt Bragg Has Nothing Wrong With Him</a> is at the Quarry Theatre, Bedford on March 15.



And tickling the tonsils over at Bedford Corn Exchange is comedian and actor Paul Chowdhry. He’ll be bringing the laughs as part of his brand-new <a href="https://www.bedfordcornexchange.co.uk/events/paul-chowdhry-family-friendly-comedian-2/">Englandia</a>&nbsp;tour. March 20.



Finally, Angela Barnes (Mock The Week, Live at The Apollo) is calling at The Radlett Centre on March 26 as part of her <a href="https://www.radlettcentre.co.uk/What-s-On/Comedy/Angela-Barnes-Angst">ANGST</a> tour. She&#8217;ll be talking unmitigated failure, lack of wisdom, a little bit of German and loads of jokes. 



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">MUSIC AND OPERA</h2>



Join St Albans Chamber Choir on International Women’s Day for <a href="https://www.stalbanscathedral.org/Event/st-albans-chamber-choir-women-of-notes">Women of Notes </a>as they celebrate female composers from the 1800s to present day. In the spotlight are Clara Schumann, Betty Roe, Eleanor Daley and more. At St Albans Cathedral, March 8.



Hello, hello, punk tribute act <a href="https://www.cornexchangehertford.co.uk/whats-on/nirvanah">Nirvanah</a> is at Hertford Corn Exchange on March 14 while the impressive 9-piece band <a href="https://www.cornexchangehertford.co.uk/whats-on/the-south">THE SOUTH</a> (featuring former members of The Beautiful South)&nbsp;are providing the tunes on March 15.

The Libertines frontman, Pete Doherty will be performing at Watford Palace Theatre on March 21. Singing tracks from his <a href="https://watfordpalacetheatre.co.uk/events/peter-doherty-anywhere-in-albion/">Felt Better Alive</a> solo album expect plenty of poetic vignettes, indie-folk and charming melodies.
