<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-immersive">Immersive</h2>



<p>Celtic Harmony Camp, Outdoor Prehistory Settlement is a cultural education centre, but you won&#8217;t find a shiny modern museum here. The camp is based on an ancient Iron Age ‘village’ of thatched round houses, surrounded by native woodland, with a herb garden and ponds plus its own Palaeolithic Cave! The Summer Family Prehistory Adventure gives adults and kids the chance to live there, off-grid, for three days and two nights, experiencing life as it would have been during the Stone Age (or as close to it as you can get!)&#8230; Don’t worry, you won’t have to sleep on a mud floor, there’ll be comfy beds and washrooms, plus tasty food to enjoy from the on-site chef, as well as a café for other refreshments during your stay. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Hands on</h2>



<p>kids and adults alike can get stuck in to a huge range of Stone Age-inspired experiences, from pottery making and target archery, to den building, cooking over fire, flint tool hunting and gathering, raft building and orienteering. There&#8217;ll also be drumming workshops, bat walks, warrior demos, face painting, den building comps and cameo games. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Social</h2>



<p>Whether you gather your friends and go as a group (there are six roundhouses available to book), or use the Prehistory Family Adventure as an opportunity to meet others sharing the experience, is up to you. All activities are designed to be enjoyed as a family, meaning you&#8217;ll get plenty of quality time with the kids. </p>

<p>But you&#8217;ll also have chance to relax round the campfire (with storytelling and marshmallow toasting as well as live music by night), chat to fellow camp mates, enjoy the woodlands, and play games. And families can get competitive, taking place in an Archery Tournament with prizes for the winning family at the end of the stay.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Educational </h2>



<p>All the activities are designed to teach more about how our Stone Age ancestors made food, clothing and shelter from natural resources, as well as looking at what we can learn from them to help us live more sustainably today and protect our natural environment for future generations. Plus, being out in the wild, off-grid and amongst nature does wonders for physical and mental wellbeing. What more could you ask?!</p>
