<p><a href="https://herts.muddystilettos.co.uk/little-black-book/directory/the-spa-odyssey-knebworth/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Odyssey Spa, Knebworth</a> is tucked away on the quiet Old Knebworth Lane just over a mile from Knebworth village centre. With plenty of on-site parking, it’s super-easy to drop-in for a spa treatment – it’s open to members and the general public and is part of the larger Odyssey Health Club &amp; Spa complex. Book a spa day or special package and you’ll gain access to the health club’s newly upgraded gym, swimming pool, steam and sauna room plus tennis courts.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-vibe">THE VIBE</h2>

<p>To find the spa, enter through the main reception and head through the café. Once checked in you&#8217;ll be guided to the changing rooms where you’ll find your easy swipe locker. There’s a 25-metre adult only swimming pool, so if you’ve booked in for a spa day be sure to enjoy a few civilised laps before your treatments (this is an adults only health club). Fancy working up a sweat too? Overlooking the pool is the newly revamped gym with plenty of treadmills, exercise bikes, and free weights for a complete workout but if all that seems like too much effort, head to the steam and sauna room for some pre-spa relaxation. From the pool, floor-to-window glass doors open onto a terrace filled with sun loungers &#8211; great for those balmy summer days. Oh, and there are four tennis courts too if you fancy a game.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-spa">THE SPA</h2>



<p>Back in the locker room, don a complimentary white fluffy robe, then slip through a corridor to the calming spa reception area. Here, you’ll find magazines and carafes of chilled mint and lemon-infused water or head to the Spa Dining area (exclusively for spa guests) and enjoy a coffee and juice among the soothing cream and mint green interiors.</p>

<p>The Spa menu is a delight with massages, facials, body treatments and a brilliant Satori sound wave therapy room. What’s that you ask? It’s a dimly lit room with star-studded ceiling and a super comfortable bed that vibrates as you listen to meditative music. There are a variety of sound therapies to choose from with each melody addressing a particular issue from insomnia to chakra imbalances and tobacco addiction. For an instantly calming experience we tried the Satori Sound Wave Relaxation Therapy. It lasted 30-minutes and was a deeply sensorial experience. While the warm bed vibrated the soothing sound of the ocean flowed through the headphones. The result? This dreamy nap left us feeling light, refreshed, and walking on cloud nine.</p>

<p>Feeling serene and in zen mode, it was time for the ELEMIS EXPERT Odyssey Spa Ritual. First up, a back and shoulder massage. Hot lava stones were used to ease aching muscles and areas of tension were steadily worked on with firm sweeping movements. It was 30 minutes of complete surrender and bliss. Next up was a facial using a variety of Elemis creams and serums to hydrate and smooth away fine lines. By the end of the session, our skin felt tingly, revived and positively glowing.</p>

<p>For post-massage lazing around, there’s a lovely relaxation suite (huge sofa, starry lights, relaxing ambience) which to be honest you could easily while away the whole day in. There’s also a large airy café serving up a range of breakfast, lunches and snacks. Book a package and you can complete your day of pampering with a lunch or traditional afternoon tea complete with Prosecco if you fancy a celebratory glass of fizz.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-membership">MEMBERSHIP</h2>



<p>Memberships are available from £75 a month. Non-members can book spa treatments and the spa day packages will which gain you access to the health club facilities. There are also spa-specials offering treatments at discount rates so keep an eye out for them.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-muddy-verdict">MUDDY VERDICT</h2>



<p><strong>GOOD FOR</strong>: Great option for locals and drop-ins. Membership is a good option if you want regular use of the spa, gym and pool, plus access to the tennis courts and fitness classes (including float fit and aquacise).</p>



<p><strong>NOT FOR:</strong> This is an adult only health club and spa so over 18’s only.</p>



<p><strong>THE DAMAGE:</strong> Spa Days that include treatments start at £76 (members) and £96 (non-members) and go up to £155 (members) and £175 (non-members).
