You’ll find savoury small plates and a modern tiered stand serving dainty tartlets, parcels of buttermilk crispy chicken, light carrot cake and more. Beautifully presented and every bit as delightful to eat, choose from a tempting tea selection or clink glasses with a little fizz as you slowly devour these bite-size heavenly morsels. <p>A great alternative to a hotel or grand estate is Afternoon Tea at Pearce’s cafe attached to the brilliant farmshop in Buntingford. The by-now-familiar combination of finger sandwiches (you really couldn’t avoid them if you tried), savoury delicacies and hand-crafted sweets is available for £32pp, including unlimited tea or coffee. There&#8217;s also a kids menu for £15pp including unlimited milkshake, squash or hot chocolate. Sweet!</p>

The menu features timeless classic sarnies including beef, watercress, and horseradish cream plus smoked salmon and cream cheese. Scones and sweets also appear one the menu (chocolate and popcorn macaron anyone?) all served in the hotel&#8217;s luxe Lounges. Starts at £70pp or celebrate with the Champagne version from £85pp.</p>
