Lovely school and my son has gone there since Reception. It&#8217;s a school with a real open door policy and inclusive! There is a very warm feel in the prep school, with very passionate teaching staff and back office staff too. I do feel although it&#8217;s a Catholic School, it&#8217;s also a mixed faith school as in my sons class as we are not Catholic and this is never a problem, but celebrated. I do also think although it&#8217;s not focused on league tables there is an underline feeling across the prep school of wanting their boys to do well academically whilst being the best person they can be! It&#8217;s very much worth a look and we remember our show round by a great senior boy!

So lovely to hear this Andy. I understand that the school runs some wonderful alumni events, and it must have been a great experience for you to return and re-live some of those fond memories.

I too attended St Columba&#8217;s. I was there back in the 1960s when it was predominantly staffed by the Brothers. I remember Brother Clement well, and Bros. Eugene, Ernest, Damian, Raymond, Camillus (my favourite), Richard and many more. It was a wonderful school and when I returned last Autumn for a visit &#8211; the first time in 50 years &#8211; I was so impressed with the whole atmosphere and the facilities. 
If we lived closer and my granddaughter was a grandson I would happily pay for his attendance. 
I look back on St Columba&#8217;s with nothing but fond memories and thanks for the excellent start that it gave me in life.

Great and fair review. I loved my time here 35+ years ago and my son just finished here this year. Amazing friendship groups for us both and it absolutely gets the very best from all students. Delivers very balanced young men set up for future success. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
