St Albans edition of Monopoly released

St Albans has joined the world’s Monopoly elite with its very own Monopoly board. That’s right game lovers, you can now buy, sell and trade your way around the city, snapping up local landmarks including The Clock Tower, The Odyssey Cinema, and Verulamium Park. Wicked Part 1 with scenes shot in Herts

We’re super-excited as Wicked (of West End musical fame) is coming to the big screen on Nov 27. Not only does it boast a stellar cast (Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and Jeff Goldblum) it also features a whole load of local settings. The green-skinned woman, cute toadstool-shaped houses and the iconic yellow brick were shot at Sky Studio Elstree in Borehamwood, as well as a huge outdoor set in Leighton Buzzard.

Day of the Dead wine and chilli tasting

The Coffee Lab in Hertford is transforming into a pop-up wine bar to celebrate the Day of the Dead on Nov 8. With six glasses of natural wines to taste (lovely!) plus some fabulous plates of Mexican food (yum!) this is a celebration not to be missed. Tickets £45
