<a href="https://welwynwheelers.org.uk/product/go-ride-freewheel-session-saturday-morning">Muddy Monsters</a> is a cycle racing club for all ages in Welwyn Garden City. The novice session for young youth riders aged 5-10 years old is the perfect introduction to cyclo-cross and mountain biking. It takes place on a Saturday morning (9am-10.30am). There are prehistory activities galore at <a href="https://celticharmony.org/product/spring-celebrations/">Celtic Harmony Camp</a> in Brickendon, Herts, this half-term. From den-building to torch-making and cooking over an open fire in the woods, there&#8217;s stacks to keep the kids entertained. Want to really get into the spirit of the camp? Animal wrangler Mark Amey is showcasing some amazing reptiles at his <a href="https://standalonefarm.com/whats-on/">Creepy Critters </a>demo at Standalone Farm. Get up close and learn all there is to know about some creepy and not-so-cute fluffy animals. Feb 17 &#8211; 21. Suitable for 5 years + &nbsp;



Delve into the fascinating world of reptiles at the <a href="https://www.nhm.ac.uk/events/tring-explore-reptiles.html">Natural History Museum in Tring</a>, and discover what makes them so truly amazing. There&#8217;ll also be a chance to get hands on with the museum’s scaly specimens. For ages 5+. Free. 18, 19 and 20 Feb.



There&#8217;s a packed half term programme at <a href="https://birdsofpreycentre.co.uk/product-category/february/february-events/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Herrings Green Activity Farm</a> (Feb 15 &#8211; 23) including bird of prey flying displays, critter encounters and tractor rides. Want to meet some cute spring lambs? Willows Activity Farm&#8217;s <a href="https://www.willowsactivityfarm.com/events/february-frolics/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">February Frolics</a> is on all half term (Feb 15 &#8211; 23). Tuck the shepherd will oversee the new babies arriving on the farm, with live lambing, bottle feeding demos, plus woolly crafts, Bo Peep&#8217;s Lost Sheep Fun Hunt and all the usual Peter Rabbit-themed fun.

Fuel your little ones curiosity with the <a href="https://www.thespotlightvenue.com/whats-on/science-museum-the-live-stage-show/260">Science Museum Live Show</a> at The Spotlight, Hoddedson. Expect big bangs, music and plenty of humour. &nbsp;Feb 16. 



Hold onto your seats! There are more experiments over at South Mill Arts, Bishop’s Stortford with <a href="https://southmillarts.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873665627">The Magic of Science</a> show. In Luton, the annual <a href="https://www.culturetrust.com/FebFest24" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Full House Feb Fest</a> will be full swing for half term (Feb 17 – 21), with creative workshops, performances and shows, plus a free ‘imagination station’ for free drop-in craft activities. Highlights we&#8217;re marking in the diary are an <a href="https://www.culturetrust.com/whats-on/feb-fest-extra-super-mega-rockin-rock-show" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">E</a><a href="https://www.culturetrust.com/whats-on/feb-fest-philharmonia-cellos-present-tales-winnie-pooh" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">xtra Super Mega Rockin’ Rock Show</a>, an <a href="https://www.culturetrust.com/whats-on/amazing-aeroplanes">Amazing Aeroplanes</a> workshop, plus <a href="https://www.culturetrust.com/whats-on/feb-fest-rainbow-butterfly" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Rainbow Butterfly</a>, an immersive experience involving aerial circus, storytelling and dance.

A musical adventure, <a href="https://wyllyottstheatre.co.uk/whats-on/the-dinosaur-that-pooped-a-rock-show/">The Dinosaur That Pooped A Rock Show</a> comes to Wyllyotts Theatre, Potters Bar on Feb 21. Adapted from the number 1 best-selling books by Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter, this funny family show features songs, laughs and, erm a whole lot of poo!



The ever-popular <a href="https://www.radlettcentre.co.uk/What-s-On/Children/Teddy-Bears-Picnic">Teddy Bears’ Picnic</a> show is back at The Radlett Centre on Feb 23. Featuring songs, games, stories,&nbsp;and plenty of fun be sure to bring your teddy along for a chance to win a prize. Under 5s.

Full House Theatre in Ampthill run a creative programme of free activities for 11 &#8211; 17 year olds called <a href="https://fullhouse.org.uk/current-show/amped/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Get Amped</a>. On 19 Feb there&#8217;s a puppetry masterclass where you can learn all about the magic of puppetry in theatre while on 21 Feb enjoy a hands-on model-making session with the legendary Aardman Animations. Make your own classic clay character in the Feathers McGraw Workshop (11am-12.30) or Gromit Workshop (2pm-3.30pm). You decide. 



<a href="https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/whats-on/wrest-park-half-term-history-makers/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Half Term History Makers</a> at Wrest Park (Feb 15 &#8211; 23) invite you to delve into the medieval past and discover the relics of the Grey family, who once lived here. There&#8217;ll be a kids&#8217; dig, performers, coin rubbing and plenty of shenanigans all taking place within the beautiful park surroundings. 



Manic Ceramics is hosting an <a href="https://www.tewinbury.co.uk/event/farm-yard-animal-pottery-class/">Animals Pottery Painting</a> workshop at Tewinbury Farm on Feb 19. Children can paint their own ceramic animal with glaze and design and paint a tile for the animal to live in. 



The <a href="https://southernmaltings.co.uk/events/childrens-craft-carousel-age-3-7-october-half-term-workshops-2/">Children’s Craft Carousel&nbsp;</a> is at the Southern Maltings in Ware on Feb 21. Younger children (ages 3-7) can have a go at a selection of animal-themed craft activities plus there’ll be plenty of playdough and small world play to get stuck into.
